Perachori is one of the most picturesque villages of Ithaca! At a distance of only 3 km from the capital of the island, a winding road from Vathi leads visitors to a settlement with well-kept houses, whitewashed yards and gardens full of flowers. As you move up, the view becomes more and more impressive and from the highest point in Agnandio you can easily see Lefkada and Zakynthos.
Within walking distance from the village we can find the forest of Perachori "Afentikos Logos", some small, well-kept and functional churches, the Taxiarchon Monastery and the ruins of the medieval villages of Palaiochora and Kounuvato. Starting from Perachori you can discover a series of sights mentioned in Homer - the Fountain of Arethousa, the stone perch of Koraki, the cave of Eumaios and the First Place (Andri).
Perachori is also the starting point for some trails that belong to the official certified trail network, a truly special experience that you can enjoy!
